Seamon Chan is a co-founder and board member of Lair East Labs and co-founder and managing partner of Palm Drive Capital in New York, USA. Palm Drive Capital investments include high-tech growth companies in the fields of financial technology, e-commerce, medical technology, and enterprise software on five continents. The companies invested include Jet.com (a $3.3 billion acquisition by Wal-Mart), WeLab (我来贷), Bitmain (比特大陆), Clover Health, Catalyte, Boom Supersonic, etc.
Before he started his own VC fund, Seamon worked for Insight Venture Partners, a venture capital firm with a capital of $23 billion, and has invested in companies including JD.com and Alibaba. He has extensive entrepreneurial and operational experience in Europe, America and China, covering mobile, gaming, advertising and social networking.
Previously, he worked for Hitachi Data Systems and Citigroup Alternative Investment Hedge Funds, as well as Stanford Artificial Intelligence and Integrated Systems Labs. He graduated from Stanford University and is completing the Owner/President Management Program (OPM) at Harvard Business School. He co-founded the Stanford Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (Stanford CEO) and the New York Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (NYCCEO), which has thousands of members in both China and the United States. Seamon is a young leader of the 100-member American Outstanding Chinese Organization, a young leader of the Milken Institute, a well-known independent economic think tank, and a member of the New York Economic Club.
Marian Yao Tong is the founder and CEO of LT Global Advisors. Prior to founding LT, Yao served at Jefferies Asia Pacific Investment Bank Division. Her business activities include Cross-border M&A, technology patent transfer, business development and joint venture. The industries involved in the business include medical treatment, finance technology, manufacturing and consumption upgrade.
Prior to entering Jefferies, Yao completed her Master’s degree at NYU and worked in business development for a U.S. investment company consulting on Chinese-American cross-border business deals.
YiPeng Li, co-founder and partner of Lair East Labs, is currently a senior executive in the leading China consumer industry, primarily responsible for investment, capital markets and innovative businesses. He used to be the co-founder of "Senior Help", "Brothers Help" as the first Chinese campus P2P social service platform, has been invested by IDG Capital, and later developed into an Internet financial platform. Yipeng Li is a cross-border investor who focuses on the pre-A round and pre-seed round investment and has successfully exited many gaming and data software companies.
Yipeng has worked in Jiuding Investment and a family office in Singapore in the telecommunications, consumer and aviation finance leasing industries. YiPeng, through his many years of cross-border investment experience, has a keen insight into the Asian market.
Lee Lin, co-founder & partner of Lair East Labs, is the co-founder of RentHop.com and RealtyHop.com. RentHop.com is a real estate internet platform dedicated to effectively matching property managers and real estate developers. RentHop.com is in Y Combinator (YC)'s 2009 Summer Alumni Program and appeared in the Harvard Business School case study titled "Killing Craigslist." Lee is an angel investor who focuses on the pre-A round and pre-seed round investment. His investment projects include Zenefits, Olark, Ginko Bioworks, Flutterwave, Checkr, Worklife, and dozens of YC graduates through WeFunder.
Lee graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to starting his career, he was a quantitative trader at D.E. Shaw and Two Sigma Investments. He also worked at Microsoft as a software engineer in the Windows Phone division and was the inventor of the mobile search business that has been granted US patents.
